The job here is not to treat anyone, rather to serve as an intelligible relationship/mental health resource with a healthy dose of self. Cuz it's a blog. No matter how it might feel, I am not your therapist and if you need one, if someone tells you that you need one, PLEASE do as my dream license plate suggests, "Get Therapy." You can get one of these on the cheap at community mental health centers, and insurance can soften the blow, too, if you have some.
People write in for referrals to good therapy docs. My bias is credentials: 2 licenses, one in mental health, the other in marital and family therapy (systems). There must be millions of great docs with only one, and very, very few with none. Write to me and I'll recommend someone who will give you a virtual webcam evaluation or consult.
